Customized for sulfide solid electrolytes and dry electrode applications, this integrated system combines mixing, pulverizing and plasticizing functions. For dry electrode manufacturing, the BYHH mixer fibrillates PTFE (or similar) binder directly through mechanical shear — blending active material, conductive agent, and binder into a self-supporting, film-formable powder mass without any liquid carrier, eliminating the NMP solvent, coating, and drying steps used in conventional slurry-based electrode processes.
The inert gas protection system ensures safe mixing of sulfide materials, while multi-speed precision control adapts to dry electrode fiberization requirements — tuning shear rate to the specific binder and active material system so fibrillation is consistent across the full batch rather than uneven or incomplete. Full-range temperature control meets the demands of sensitive powders, keeping the mix within the narrow temperature window PTFE fibrillation requires, and the vacuum-sealed airtight structure effectively isolates external contamination, allowing the same equipment to handle both sulfide electrolyte composites and dry electrode powder blends without cross-contamination risk.
